Nagarkot is a popular tourist destination of Nepal for sunrise and sunset, situated approx 32 km east of Kathmandu. In an altitude of 2,175m above the sea-level, the panorama of the major peaks of eastern Himalayas including Sagarmatha, can be seen. Others are Manaslu (8,163m), Ganesh Himal (7,111m), Langtang(7,246m), Choba Bhamre(6,016m) Gaurishankar(7,134m) and Numbur (6,957m). A motor-able road links Nagarkot with Bhaktapur and Kathmandu.
