Detailed Itinerary
Day 01
Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Walking tour of Ason- local market, explore and enjoy the
cultural heritage site of Kathmandu city. Overnight Kathmandu.
Day 02
Kathmandu
Discover the UNESCO Heritage site of Kathmandu Durbar Square such as the Hanuman Dhoka- the
historic palace of the ancient kings, Kumari Ghar-the residence of the living Goddess Kumari, Kal
Bhairab- the stone sculpture of the god of destruction and numerous temples along the periphery of
Hanuman Dhoka. Further explore Swyambhunath– one of the oldest stupas, situated on a hillock.
Continue sightseeing of Budhanilkhantha, where you will find the stone statue of lord Vishnu lying on
the water. Overnight Kathmandu.
Day 03
Kathmandu- Nagarkot (32 Km, approx. 01 hr. 30 min.)
Morning sightseeing of Thimi– a farming town known for its artistic masks and earthen pots, often seen
spread out on the streets to dry in the sun. Further explore Bhaktapur, known as the city of devotees has
the Palace of Fifty-Five Windows, the Golden Gate, Five-tiered temple of Nyatapola and many more
hidden shrines and statues along the alleys. Further drive to Nagarkot (2175m), a hilltop for viewing the
beautiful sunrise and sunset.
Day 04
Nagarkot – Kathmandu
Early view the sunrise and enjoy the scenic beauty. Drive to Telkot and short hike upto Changunarayan
(approx.1& half hour). The Changu Narayan Temple is a UNESCO world heritage site perched atop a
small hill, decorated with one of the most elaborate stone, wood and metal craft in the valley. Later visit
Pashupatinath – Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Holiest Hindu pilgrimage destination. Further
explore Boudhanath, the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism and an ancient trade route to Tibet. Overnight
Kathmandu.
Day 05
Kathmandu
Morning Optional Mountain Flight. Everest Experience is a close encounter mountain flight seeing
tour. You will see stunningly beautiful mountains such as Cho-Oyu, Shisha Pangma, Mt. Everest and
Lhotse from the window seat on the aircraft. Later sightseeing tour of Patan – the city of beauty, noted for
its craftsmen and metal work showcasing the Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, Golden Temple etc.
Kirtipur – a small Newari town situated on the top of plateau shaped ridge has an enchanting panorama of
the Kathmandu valley with narrow lanes and houses. Overnight Kathmandu.
Day 06
Kathmandu
Transfer to the International Airport for departure.
