Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01
    Kathmandu
    Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Briefing on the tour itinerary. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
  • Day 02
    Kathmandu ( 1,350m/4,429ft )
    Morning sightseeing of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and afternoon Patan Durbar Square. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

    Kathmandu Durbar Square, the UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases some of the most impressive architecture in Central Asia, where it is believed to have more temples than people.

    Swayambhunath Stupa, with the eyes of Buddha painted on all four sides is one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the best place to observe the religious harmony of Hinduism and Buddhism.

    Patan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is known as the “City of Beauty.” It is noted for its craftsmen and metal workers.
  • Day 03
    Kathmandu – Lukla ( 2,800m/9,186ft ) – Phakding ( 2,652m/8,700ft )
    Scenic flight to Lukla ( Approx. 30min ). Upon landing, while the guides and porters will divide the baggage and you can have a good look around and take picture. Depending upon when we land at Lukla, we might even have our lunch there. From Lukla, we walk to Phakding village ( Approx. 3hrs ). The walk is fairly easy and we will stay overnight in Phakding. We can spend our evening strolling around the village.Overnight stay at Phakding.

    Lukla is a small village propped at an altitude of 2,800 meter and has regular flight from Kathmandu which is also an important stop for travelers who are trekking to Mt. Everest Base Camp.
  • Day 04
    Phakding – Namche Bazaar ( 3,340m/11,286ft )
    After breakfast, we start the trek to Namche Bazaar ( Approx. 5-6hr ), by walking along the banks of Dudh Koshi River and we will then arrive at a small village called Monjo. Monjo is the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. After entering the National Park, we descend down to Bhote Koshi River upon which we arrive at Jorsale village. We walk further from there heading off to Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

    Namche Bazaar is a small town closely associated with Mt. Everest. It is the gateway to the Everest Region. Situated on the lap of Himalayas which is also the capital of Khumbu region, it affords a ringside view of many world famous Himalayan peaks.
  • Day 05
    Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day ( 3,340m/11,286ft )
    It is very important that our body is prepared for further ascending. You have the day at your disposal and can choose to do what you wish with it. You can walk up to the Syangboche (3,841m/12,602ft) and enjoy the view it offers. You can also choose to just walk around Namche Bazaar and observe the local proceedings and lifestyle. If it is Saturday, there will be local traditional Saturday Market and it will be a wonderful experience visiting the marketplace. There is a Sherpa Museum in Namche which would be the place to visit if you are into Sherpa culture and history of mountaineering. Similarly you can try out the traditional costumes too. Overnight stay at Namche.
  • Day 06
    Namche Bazaar – Tyangboche ( 3,867m/12,687ft )
    Today after breakfast we start our trek (Approx. 4-5hr) with pleasant walk through the forest with magnificent view of mountains. The great view of the mighty peaks like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kwangde peak is a constant throughout the day. Today’s trail ascends through the forested on its way to Tyangboche. Overnight stay at Tyangboche.

    Tyangboche is a Buddhist Village where Buddhist Stupas, Monasteries, and settlements of Sherpa can be seen. Tyangboche Monasteries is the biggest Monasteries in the Khumbu Region. Tyangboche has large campsite, tea houses and lodges overseeing Mt. Ama Dablam.
  • Day 07
    Tyangboche – Dingboche ( 4,358m/14,298ft )
    Moring trek to Dingboche (Approx. 5-6hr). The day consists of a lot of descending until we arrive at Deboche. The trails ascend from there through rhododendron forest. We then cross a valley and through the plains to reach Dingboche. It is a relatively easy day in terms of walking. Overnight stay at Dingboche.
  • Day 08
    Acclimatization Day At Dingboche
    It is acclimatization day again. We require acclimatizing to ascend further altitude. You can take complete rest all day. If you so wish and are physically in excellent condition, you can also take some couple of hours time to hike up to Chhukung ( 4,730m/15,518ft ). Chhukung is a small hill station overlooking many mountains and glaciers. The main target of the day would be to prepare you physically for the rest of the trek. Overnight stay at Dingboche.
  • Day 09
    Dingboche – Lobuche ( 4,928m/16,168ft )
    Today there is a lot of vertical gain trekking towards Lobuche (Approx. 5-6hr). We walk through the alpine meadows and yak pastures to cross the Khumbu Glacier. The end of the moraine of the glacier has a specifically steep and presents a challenge. We then continue along the rugged route to reach Lobuche where we will stay for the night. Lobuche is situated beneath the Lhotse Ridge.
  • Day 10
    Lobuche – Everest Base Camp ( 5,320m/17,454ft ) – Gorak Shep ( 5,160m/16,929ft ) 6 – 7 Hr
    Today you will be hiking up to the Everest Base Camp. The day will be the most challenging day of the trek and at the same time the most fulfilling as well. The base camp is situated at an altitude of above ( 5,000m/16,400ft ). We start off by trekking to Gorak Shep first. It is a small village sitting atop a small frozen lake buried under sand. We will have our lunch thee and hike further following the trails of the Khumbu Glacier. On the way you will catch the glimpse of an intimidating black rock the world knows by the name of Mt. Everest. The way will lead us to the Everest Base Camp. Have you ever heard or read that Mt. Everest cannot be seen from the Everest Base Camp? You will find the answer yourself. We will spend quality time exploring the base camp and surrounding areas and return to Gorak Shep. Overnight stay at Gorak Shep.
  • Day 11
    Gorak Shep – Kala Patthar ( 5,550m/18,209ft ) – Pheriche (4,200m/13,780ft) 6 – 7 Hr
    Our first destination for the day will be Kala Patthar. We will start the hike especially early and your guide will arrange everything for the early departure. The reason behind leaving early is to reach Kala Patthar before sunrise. Kala Patthar provides the most wonderful sight of sunrise over Mt. Everest and other Himalayan peaks such as Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Pumori. You would not want to miss that. It will take a couple of hours to reach Kala Patthar from Gorak Shep. We will take our time enjoying what Kala Patthar has to offer before heading down to Gorak Shep and then to Pheriche. Overnight stay at Pheriche.
  • Day 12
    Pheriche – Kyangjuma (3,500m/11,483ft )
    Early morning after having breakfast we start the trek to Kyangjuma (Approx. 5-6hr). Overnight at Kyangjuma.
  • Day 13
    Kyangjuma – Khumjung – Monjo ( 2,850m/9,350ft )
    Today we trek to Monjo through Khumjung ( Approx. 6-7hr ). Overnight stay at Monjo.
  • Day 14
    Monjo – Lukla ( 2,800m/9,186ft )
    Trek back to Lukla ( Approx.4-5hr ). Easy walking but great landscape areas and day is mostly hot as we are already in lower valley now. Final walking to Lukla is slightly gradual uphill. Once checked in to Lukla Lodge, you will have lunch and will be free for the day. Overnight at Lukla.
  • Day 15
    Lukla – Kathmandu
    Fly back to Kathmandu ( Approx.30min ). Later on free for own activities. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
  • Day 16
    Kathmandu
    Morning sightseeing of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Bhaktapur Durbar Square in the afternoon. Evening dinner with Nepalese Cultural Show. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    Pashupatinath, located on the banks of the Bagmati River, is believed to mark the site where Shiva worshipped in the form of Lingam (only Hindus are permitted entrance).

    Boudhanath is among the largest Stupas in the South Asia and focal point of Tibetan Buddhism. This ancient trade route to Tibet has been offered prayers by the Tibetan merchants for centuries.

    Bhadgaon (Bhaktapur) is a Newari city founded in the 9th-century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known as the “City of Devotees”. There you can see the royal residential quarter of King Bhupatindra Malla and the famous Nytapole Temple.

    Kathmandu
    Departure transfer to the airport.
