Royal Trek

Overview

The Royal Trek is a quick getaway offering a blend of natural beauty, cultural richness and stunning view of the Annapurna Range. One can experience the village life, interact with the local Gurung and Magar communities. The trail passes through the rhododendron forest and diverse flora & fauna. This is relatively easy route suitable for beginners and all ages. This Royal Trek holds a special place since Prince Charle’s visit in 1980.

Kathmandu Durbar Square, the UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases some of the most impressive architecture in Central Asia, where it is believed to have more temples than people.

Swayambhunath Stupa, with the eyes of Buddha painted on all four sides is one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the best place to observe the religious harmony of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01
    Arrive Kathmandu.
    Arrive Kathmandu.
  • Day 02
    Sightseeing of City, Swyambhunath & Patan.
    Sightseeing of City, Swyambhunath & Patan.
  • Day 03
    Drive Kathmandu – Pokhara.
    Drive Kathmandu – Pokhara.
  • Day 04
    Drive from Pokhara to Kalikastha 1370m(1hrs), trek to Syaklung 1730m(5/6 hrs).
    Short drive(1hr) followed by 5-6 hour hike through villages and forested ridge with views of the Annapurna and Lamjung Himal.
  • Day 05
    Syaklung to Chisapani 1550m(5/6hrs).
    Approx 5-hour trek through traditional Gurung villages and rhododendron forests.
  • Day 06
    Chisapani to Pokhara-Trek from approx. 5/6 hrs and drive to Pokhara.
    Today descent to Sundari Danda and boat ride on Begnas Lake before driving back to Pokhara.
  • Day 07
    Drive Kathmandu – Pokhara.
    Drive Kathmandu – Pokhara.
  • Day 08
    Departure.
    Departure transfer to the airport.
